We had a fantastic stay at Middlethorpe Manor - No 4 Relaxation And Peace. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped - it had everything we needed for our family of three. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with easy access to York, Whitby, and other attractions. The cottage provided a cozy and relaxing space for us to unwind after our day trips. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch.
The only improvement that could be made would be to have a wider selection of breakfast options.

Free parking was convenient, especially when other guests didn't follow parking rules. The towels provided were absolutely delightful, soft as a cloud. I felt like royalty using them.
The cleaning left much to be desired. I was greeted by a spider and found plenty of cobwebs and debris under the furniture.

Our stay at this lovely cottage was absolutely incredible. The place was immaculately clean and so comfortable, it felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed and more, with a fully equipped kitchen and even a cleaning kit that added a fresh touch. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to York, Whitby, and other attractions. We loved the peaceful and secure atmosphere, making it ideal for a relaxing break. The hosts went above and beyond with a welcome pack and an informative booklet that included recommendations for pubs, restaurants, walks, and historic references. The attention to detail was outstanding, with manuals for every appliance and emergency contact information. The cottage itself was both practical and luxurious, with en suite facilities in both bedrooms and incredibly comfortable beds. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and we can't wait to come back.

Great location, easy access to attractions, and peaceful surroundings. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The beds were perfect for a good night's sleep.
Some areas of the cottage were not properly cleaned, with cobwebs and debris found in certain places. The shared garden space was not usable and there was limited storage space for food in the kitchen.

The private parking was a dream come true, because who doesn't enjoy the thrill of finding a good parking spot? The towels were so soft, it was like being wrapped in a cloud.a really absorbent cloud. The location was convenient for getting to both the city and the countryside.
The cobwebs were a delightful surprise, especially when they gracefully brushed against my face in the evenings.
